I am John, the Brisbane, Australia part of the project. Norm is the Sydney, Australia component whose multi-decade DSO/LSA design experience, applied to the State Machines of the RP2350, has produced what we reckon is a very competitively priced and professional instrument.
The pod architecture allows for a diversity of functions to be added. The Pico 2 data bus is also available for something unrelated to T&M.
Rounding out our geographically fractured operation is Alex, our recent Budapest, Hungary connection to the operation who turned my bland attempt at web design into the professional aesthetic you see today. How Alex came to be part of Picotronix, is a story for another day—possibly a short film.
I thought it might be helpful to get this forum rolling by sharing a bit about the project and its design philosophy. Please visit the blogs (a few more going up in a day or so) for the technical "nitty gritty" but visit here for some real interaction.
The Electronic Gremlins tag is for a bit of light-hearted fun, but also a frustrating truth to us makers about the theoretical straight forward path from conception to end product, and the factual, twisted, winding road it actually takes. Oh yes! Must not forget that much sought after and welcome "constructive advice" from our better half on how those wrinkles in the road might be straightened - like not starting in the first place, so the bathroom renovation may be finished.

Following the article about picotronix on Hackaday on the 2nd Feb 2026, we are getting a nice bump in visitors to the site. While not "earth shattering" it is reassuring that we are getting the picotronix message out. Any help from you in spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who has registered an interest in ongoing updates about the project. We also appreciate the feedback received via the limited space on the registration form. We hope you will take advantage of the forum to contribute further.
To be continued - I need to get the Gallery up and prove to our visitors who are "AI Image Detectives" and consider our images AI generated that they are in fact real shots of genuine articles. We are makers, not bloody photographers and some of our pics might be a "bit off", but they are photographs taken by a smartphone or camera. Picotronix and the disclosed functions are also the 'real thing'.
